Marco D'Alberti

Marco D’Alberti has been Professor Emeritus of Administrative Law at Sapienza University of Rome since 2019. Assistant to Professor Massimo Severo Giannini at Sapienza University of Rome (1973-1978), he taught from 1978 to 1992 at the Universities of Camerino, Urbino, and Ancona, at the National School of Public Administration (Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione) and LUISS University of Rome; in 1992-1997 and 2004-2007 he taught at the Faculty of Political Sciences and in 2007-2018 at the Faculty of Law of Sapienza University of Rome.

He was Director of the 2nd-level Master’s Degree in Global Regulation of Markets (2010-2018) and Senior Research Fellow at the School for Advanced Studies of Sapienza University of Rome (2013-2018).

He has conducted research and lectured several times at foreign universities. He was Visiting Scholar at the Universities of Cambridge (1980-81), Harvard (1982) and Yale (1987, 1988); Professeur invité at the University of Paris II – Panthéon-Assas (1990 and 2005) and Visiting Professor at the Columbia University School of Law in New York (1995, 2016, 2018). He has been a member of the Académie internationale de droit comparé since 1998, of the Board of Directors of the European Public Law Organization since 2007, and of the Council of the International Society of Public Law since 2013.
